Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is renowned for its natural sheen and great bounce. Strong, yet soft enough for next-to-skin wear. This yarn has a tightly twisted structure which gives the yarn a smooth velvety feel. It absorbs dye beautifully, resulting in vibrant, clear colours and speckles exceptionally well.
The finished fabric is neat, with even stitches and excellent blocking capabilities. It behaves more like a non superwash which makes it a really nice choice for sweaters and other garments. It’s ideal for colourwork, including Fair Isle.
