Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is a smooth, worsted-spun and plied yarn. It has a lovely sheen and great bounce. BFL is a strong yarn that is still next to the skin soft making it ideal for a wide range of projects such as hats, mittens, jumpers, sock and shawls. It gives excellent stitch definition so works wells for patterns using a variety of stitch patterns (stocking, textured, brioche and cables). It wears well and pills very little.
This yarn is hand dyed and due to the nature of the dye process the appearance may differ slightly, even within the same dye batch. This adds to the uniqueness of the yarn and one of the things we love about hand dyed yarns.
If you're working on a project that requires multiple skeins please ensure you purchase enough for your entire project. We also recommend alternating skeins every couple of rows for a more consistent look.
We do our best to accurately represent the colour of the yarn but some difference may occur between screens.
Whilst the yarn is superwash we always recommend that you hand wash your item in cool water and lay it flat to dry.
